Why does Jersey have their own postage stamps, yet in football they are considered part of England ?
Does Scotland have their own postage stamps ? that's what I thought, thanks Lammy All the Scots in my family have been living in Canada for the last 300 years therefore, no letters from Scotland.

- No Scotland has the same as England.
- Jersey is technically a separate possession belonging to the British Crown (like the Belgian Congo used to belong to the Belgian Crown). I suspect, however, that they don't have their own football team because they just don't have enough people. Doesn't stop them printing their own postage stamps.
- Britain is technically a possesion of Jersey. This is because Jersey (and the other channel islands) are the last surviving chunks of the Duchy of Normandy. H M The Queen is the current Duke of Normandy. In 1066 William of Normandy took possession of the British Crown after the Battle of Hastings, and the status of Jersey hasn't been changed since.
