Cheaper to buy soccer jerseys online or in shops?

I'm looking for one as a gift and have been looking around both online and in shops in town, and prices seem to be around the same. Anyone has had luck getting authentic soccer jerseys online but at lower prices compared to usual in-store retail prices, some suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

3. In the shops because they could have a sale or a clearout because new shirts
4. Depends on what jersey you're looking for - if it's not that new a design perhaps you can still get it cheap in shops if they have a sale. Otherwise online shops are cheaper in some ways.
